About Track Express

A youth track & field program developing young athletes on and off the track since 1982.

Who we are

Track Express Track Club is a youth track and field program dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the track.

Since 1982, our program has helped athletes build speed, strength, discipline and confidence while competing at local, regional and national levels.

Our coaching staff teaches more than athletics. Through training and competition, our athletes learn leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility and character that help them in sports, school and life.

Track Express operates under the guidelines of USA Track & Field (USATF) and is a member of the USATF Potomac Valley Association. The club is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by a dedicated volunteer staff of coaches and parents.

Our history

1982

Best friends Carlos Alexander and Darryl Hamilton start a summer youth track and field program called the Jaguars.

1989

The Jaguars join the Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville (KLM) Boys & Girls Club.

1995

The organization officially becomes Track Express Track Club, Inc., adding high school athletes for summer track and field. Coach Darryl Hamilton begins coaching at Largo High School, where he builds one of Prince George's County's most successful programs, with multiple state championships and many college scholarships.

2000

The club creates the Carlos Alexander Award, presented every year to the Bantam Boy and Bantam Girl Athlete of the Year in honor of our co-founder.

2008

Coach Anthony Dozier is named Head Coach of Track Express Track Club, Inc.
